WHRHS Board of Education Work Session – Time Change
Please note that the Watchung Hills Regional High School Board of Education Work Session Meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 has been moved up from 7:00PM to 6:30PM. The meeting will open with student and staff recognitions from 6:30–7:00PM, followed by executive session, with the public portion expected to reconvene at approximately 7:30PM in the Learning Commons at WHRHS, 108 Stirling Road, Warren, NJ.
Watchung Hills Warriors Lacrosse – LaxFest 2026
The Watchung Hills Warriors Lacrosse Club is hosting LaxFest 2026 on Saturday, May 30 from 12–3PM at Pop Warner Field, 100 Old Stirling Road, Warren, NJ. The event features clinics with special guests Jules Heningburg (Lax Lab founder & Premier Lacrosse League All-Star) and Jazzy Cachimbo (Mad Dog Lacrosse), food trucks, an 8th grade Girls vs. Boys game, team awards, a 50-50 raffle, and new this year — an equipment swap where you can trade in old gear for something new!
23rd Annual Bob Beckert Memorial 5K
Join us for the 23rd Annual Bob Beckert Memorial 5K on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 10AM at Watchung Hills Regional High School, with all proceeds benefiting scholarships for WHRHS seniors and local community organizations. NSLP: Summer EBT Program
The NJ Summer EBT Program helps families purchase groceries for school-aged children during the summer months. Eligible families may receive $120 per child, with benefits loaded onto an EBT card. Some families qualify automatically, while others may need to complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application.
Long Hill Township PTO – 2026 Summer Music Camp
The Long Hill Township PTO is bringing back its Summer Music Camp at Central Middle School (90 Central Ave, Stirling) running weekdays from June 29–July 22, 2026, for students from beginner through high school level. Classes include Band & Orchestra ($325–$350), Jazz Band ($150), Guitar & Piano ($175), and Secondary Instrument ($150), with small-group instruction from four experienced music teachers. NJ Cyclones Basketball – Summer Tryouts & Camp 2026
The NJ Cyclones are holding summer tryouts at Pingry HS on June 11 (2nd–6th grade boys) and June 14 (2nd–8th grade girls, 7th–8th grade boys, and high school boys & girls), with a $20 tryout fee. They're also running a Basketball Camp August 3–7 from 9AM–3PM at Central Middle School in Long Hill, NJ for boys and girls ages 8–14.
Drew University Men's Basketball Boys Basketball Camp
Drew University Men's Basketball is hosting a Boys Basketball Day Camp from June 22–25 for boys ages 7–14, running 9AM–3PM daily at a cost of $200. Register or get more information at Drewhoopscamps.com.

The MOMS Club of Long Hill is hosting a Kids Clothing, Books & Toys Bazaar on Saturday, May 16 from 10AM–2PM at the Stirling Elks Lodge, 1138 Valley Road. USA Sport Group
USA Sport Group is offering Spring Soccer and Multi-Sport classes starting in April at two Long Hill locations, Long Hill Chapel Gym in Chatham, NJ (Saturdays) and the Long Hill Community Center (Sundays), for children ages 1.5–14. Classes range from Parent & Me Squirts for toddlers all the way up to Skills & Scrimmages for older kids, with multiple time slots available to fit your schedule. Somerset Hills YMCA : Summer Camp 2026: Camp Acorn & Specialty Camps
The Somerset Hills YMCA is offering two great summer camp options for kids this summer! Camp Acorn is a 10-week program (June 22–August 28) at the Somerset Hills YMCA for preschool through 10th grade, featuring Traditional, Performing Arts, Sports, STEAM, Teen Travel, and more — with before and after care available and a 10% sibling discount. They're also offering Specialty Camps at Far Hills Country Day School (July 6–August 14, 9AM–4PM) for grades 1–6, with two-week skill-based sessions in Performing Arts, STEAM, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, and more.
Girls on the Run at Kantor Park
Girls on the Run is now open for registration at Kantor Park, with the season beginning the week of March 30. This after-school program for girls in grades 3–5 builds confidence and social-emotional skills through a fun, movement-based curriculum, culminating in a 5K celebration on May 30. Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30–5:45 PM.
Brain Stem Summer Camp
BrainSTEM Summer Camp is offering hands-on STEM programs at two locations this summer, Ridge High School and now Central Middle School in Long Hill! Programs include Computer Science & Game Design, Robotics, and Engineering Design & Prototyping, available as full-day or half-day sessions for students in Somerset, Morris, and surrounding areas. Watchung Hills Basketball Camp Registration
Watchung Hills Basketball Camps will be held Summer 2026 for boys and girls in grades 1 through 9. Camp sessions run from late June through July, with multiple week options and a co-ed week available. Registration details and contact information are included on the flyer.
Lisbona All Sports Summer Camp
The LISBONA ALL SPORTS CAMP is located at Central School June 22nd-July 31st. We work together with the RECREATION camp, so your child can have a full day of camp or Just come to us 12-4pm. Atlantic Health: Camp Clover A Bereavement Day Camp for Children and Teens
Camp Clover is a free four-day bereavement day camp for children and teens in grades 1–8 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Hosted by Atlantic Visiting Nurse, the camp runs August 17–20, 2026 at Camp Riverbend in Warren and provides a supportive environment with both traditional camp activities and grief-focused support. Transportation and lunch are included, and registration is available online.
Atlantic Health: Mental Health Webinar Series
Atlantic Health Goryeb Children's Hospital is offering a series of free virtual webinars this May focused on children's well-being and mental health. First up is "The Use of Child Life to Ease Stress" on Thursday, May 7 from 6–7PM, exploring how child life specialists use play and emotional support to help children and families navigate hospital experiences. Then join the two-part "Being Mindful in a Mindless World" series on May 19 and May 26 at 7PM, covering emotional regulation, the impact of technology and social media on mental health, and practical mindfulness strategies for everyday life. Pre-registration is required for all sessions.
Long Hill Parks & Recreation – Lake Dance at Stirling Lake
Long Hill Parks & Recreation is hosting a Lake Dance at Stirling Lake on Friday, June 5th from 7:30–9:30PM, with $5 cash admission at the gate plus a required signed permission slip (no one admitted without it).
