Free Summer Meals for Children: USDA Summer Food Service Program
The USDA's Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to children 18 and under when school is out, available at local sites including Twelve Baskets Food Pantry (Millington), St. Vincent De Paul Parish Food Pantry (Stirling), Interfaith Food Pantry (Morris Plains), Nourish NJ (Morristown), and Mutual Morris.
NSLP: Summer EBT Program
The NJ Summer EBT Program helps families purchase groceries for school-aged children during the summer months. Eligible families may receive $120 per child, with benefits loaded onto an EBT card. Some families qualify automatically, while others may need to complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application.
Long Hill Township PTO – 2026 Summer Music Camp
The Long Hill Township PTO is bringing back its Summer Music Camp at Central Middle School (90 Central Ave, Stirling) running weekdays from June 29–July 22, 2026, for students from beginner through high school level. Classes include Band & Orchestra ($325–$350), Jazz Band ($150), Guitar & Piano ($175), and Secondary Instrument ($150), with small-group instruction from four experienced music teachers. NJ Cyclones Basketball – Summer Tryouts & Camp 2026
The NJ Cyclones are holding summer tryouts at Pingry HS on June 11 (2nd–6th grade boys) and June 14 (2nd–8th grade girls, 7th–8th grade boys, and high school boys & girls), with a $20 tryout fee. They're also running a Basketball Camp August 3–7 from 9AM–3PM at Central Middle School in Long Hill, NJ for boys and girls ages 8–14.
USA Sport Group
USA Sport Group is offering Spring Soccer and Multi-Sport classes starting in April at two Long Hill locations, Long Hill Chapel Gym in Chatham, NJ (Saturdays) and the Long Hill Community Center (Sundays), for children ages 1.5–14. Classes range from Parent & Me Squirts for toddlers all the way up to Skills & Scrimmages for older kids, with multiple time slots available to fit your schedule. Somerset Hills YMCA – Specialty Camp Open House at Far Hills
Come check out Somerset Hills YMCA's Specialty Camp Open House at Far Hills Country Day School (697 Old Mine Brook Rd, Far Hills) on Saturday, June 6 from 10AM–1PM! Tour the facility, enjoy activity demonstrations, meet the camp staff, and get your questions answered about programs and financial assistance — plus giveaways! Registration is required.
Somerset Hills YMCA – Daycare & Early Education Center
The Somerset Hills YMCA's Early Education Center offers safe, nurturing daycare and early education programs for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years, with a play-based approach focused on social, emotional, and academic growth — plus swim lessons, gymnastics, and an onsite playground. The center is Praesidium Accredited for child safety and offers inclusive support services and kindergarten readiness programming. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
Summer Swim Lessons at the Summit YMCA
The Summit YMCA is offering indoor Summer Session swim lessons for all ages — from Parent/Child classes (9–35 months) through adult — with sessions starting mid-June and running through early August. Certified instructors teach safety, confidence, and technique through fun, progressive lessons designed for every age and ability. Lisbona All Sports Summer Camp
The LISBONA ALL SPORTS CAMP is located at Central School June 22nd-July 31st. We work together with the RECREATION camp, so your child can have a full day of camp or Just come to us 12-4pm. Atlantic Health: Camp Clover A Bereavement Day Camp for Children and Teens
Camp Clover is a free four-day bereavement day camp for children and teens in grades 1–8 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Hosted by Atlantic Visiting Nurse, the camp runs August 17–20, 2026 at Camp Riverbend in Warren and provides a supportive environment with both traditional camp activities and grief-focused support. Transportation and lunch are included, and registration is available online.

The Morris County 4-H Fair returns July 24–26, 2026 at High View Farms, 416 Sand Shore Rd, Mt. Olive, NJ (Fri–Sat 10AM–8PM, Sun 9AM–4PM)! Enjoy animal shows, hay rides, monster truck rides, a car show, food trucks, live entertainment, archery, a talent show, and much more.
4-H: Earn Community Service Hours at the Morris County Fair
Morris County 4-H is looking for student volunteers to help at the 2026 Morris County 4-H Fair at High View Farms in Mt. Olive, NJ — a great opportunity to earn community service hours! Volunteers are needed July 21–28 for setup, fair operations, and cleanup, with a variety of tasks suitable for all ages and abilities.
4-H: Exhibit Your Project at the Morris County Fair
Morris County students in grades K–12 are invited to exhibit their projects at the 4-H Fair, July 24–26 at High View Farms in Mt. Olive! Enter projects in categories ranging from Fine Art and Photography to Science, Horticulture, Creative Writing, and more — projects will be on display all three days and participants earn a ribbon. Entries are due by June 30
