Mrs. Martha Newcomb, Special Education, Millington School

Brief Bio

Welcome to room 39 at Millington School. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! Let me introduce myself. I am Martha Newcomb and this will be my sixteenth year at Millington School. I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty. I am a graduate of Kean University and hold certificates of training in the Wilson Reading System, Reading Mastery, Stevenson Reading and Learning Strategies (KU model). This year I will be teaching out-of-class replacement for 4th and 5th grade language arts literacy, in addition to in-class support for 5th grade math with Mrs. Vachon, 5th grade science with Mr. Golub, and 5th grade social studies with Mr. Freyre.

I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. I hope that we will be partners in this process.

I look forward to working with each of you throughout the year.

Sincerely,

Martha Newcomb
