Brief Bio: Sarah Romeo LCSW, District School Social Worker.  I recieved my Bachelors in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University and obtained my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University.  I have been employeed at the Long Hill Township School District since the summer of 2007.  My responsiblities as a School Social Worker entail conducting Social Assessments as a part of the Child Study Team evaluation. This essentially is a parent interview which entails family background information, a child's developmental milestones, social/emotional information, etc.  I also provide individual and group counseling to students who are in need of social and emotional support.  Furthermore, I case manage classified students, conduct IEP meetings, and coordinate with the CST, teachers, parents, and school personnel.  I have also compiled a binder of useful community based resources on a wide range of topics (i.e. local therapists, extracurricular activities).
