Absences:

If your child will be late or absent, please call the nurse, Mrs. Bawarshi at (908) 647-2313 ext. 1123.

Drop off Procedures:

Due to an increase in drop-offs expected, there may be some on-going changes at the beginning of the year.

When picking dropping off or picking up a student, please do not use the driveway in front of the building.   All vehicles must enter the school from the west side of the building (driveway next to Senior Center).  traffic will move one way around to the back of the building.

All drop-offs and pick-ups will be on the East side of the building.  The former parking spaces are designated as Drop Offs and Pick-Ups only - No Parking.  Parents should pull the top of the drop off zone.  All students should exit or enter cars from the sidewalk.

Students dropped off in the drop-off zone should proceed up the sidewalk to the front of the school.

Students being picked-up at the end of the school day will be dismissed by a teacher out the east side door.

If you need to walk your child into school, please park in a visitor's space at the west side of the school.

Students are not to be dropped off before 8:45 AM.  Students arriving after 9:00 AM (12:10 PM for afternoon session) will be marked tardy.

School doors are locked at 9:00 AM and 12:10 PM.  If arriving after these times, please enter through the front door.

Early Dismissals:

If you must pick up your child early, send a note to the teacher.  When you arrive to pick up your child, come to the office and we will call for your child.  DO NOT GO TO THE CLASSROOM, as this will disrupt instruction.

* Please do not leave messages for pick-ups or absences on teacher's voice mail or e-mail.

Collections:

If you send money to school with your child, place in a sealed envelope and label with child's name, teacher's name, amount, and what it is for.

Notices:

Check your child's backpack/folder each day for notices.  The office will send home a Gillette School calendar at the beginning of each month.

Special Programs:

If there is a special program being presented at the school, but the program is held during the time your child is not in school, you are invited to bring your child back to school for the special program.
