Brief Bio:
This is my sixth year in Long Hill Township. I have been working with special education students for more than 20 years in total. The long years have allowed me to meet students and parents with a wide variety of needs, goals, abilities and behaviors. Yet, I am still excited when September rolls around and the brisk fall air greets me on my morning walk. My goal for this year is to provide a positive learning enviornment for ALL students.
I am a Kean graduate with a degree as Teacher of the Handicapped. My husband and I have lived in New Providence for more than 30 years. I have 2 grown sons, Anthony and his wife Lee live in Austin Texas, and Jay and his wife Karen live in West Orange. I am even going to be a grandma this year.
2010-11
My position for this school year finds me traveling between Gillette and Millington Schools. I will be at Gillette every morning until 10:30. As the In Class Support teacher I am responsible for modifications and meeting accommodations for all special education students in the class. That being said I am also available to help general ed students, answer questions and monitor any problems that arise.
