Brief Bio: The 2009-2010 school year will be my 7th year working as a speech-language specialist with students in the Long Hill School distrtict! I work with students at both Gillette School and Central school each week. I am thrilled to be here working with all of the great teachers, students, and families that make up the Long Hill community.
Expectations: Students are expected to be active participants in their speech-language sessions. If your child has a speech communication book, he/she should bring it to every session.
Homework: You child may be assigned speech or language homework that is due at their next session. Please make sure to help your child complete his/her homework. Carryover of skills to the home environment is key in developing speech-language skills. Your help and practice at home is just as important as the work your child does in his/her sessions.
To reach me: The easiest way to reach me is to send me an e-mail, all emails in the district are first initial, last name (tferges) @longhill.org You can also contact me at the main phone number for Gillette School (908) 647-2313 and leave a voice message on extension 1011. If your child has a speech communication book, feel free to write a note anytime!
