Ms. Lorraine Elg, Grade 1, Gillette School

 

Brief Bio: I have been teaching in Long Hill Township for 39 years.  During this time, I taught second grade, Kindergarten and currently I am in my sixth year teaching First Grade.  I am a recipient of the N.J. Governor's Recognition Award (Teacher of the Year).  I also received the Chadd Award of Morris County.  I  have been a member of the following committees:  Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies and Prejudice Reduction.

Expectations: Students are required to follow our classroom rules.  Homework folders are to be returned the following day. 

Daily Homework: Students will have homework every night except Friday. 

 

 I would like to welcome my new first grade students to my class.  I enjoyed meeting many of you on Thursday afternoon. 

I am looking forward to the first day of school on Tuesday, September 7th.  We will do some fun, learning activities and get to know one another.

I know we will have a wonderful school year.
