Maternity Leave Replacement – STAR Program Teacher – Central School

Position available from March 25, 2012 through October 8, 2012
The STAR Program is a middle school life skills program for classified students. In addition to providing instruction to students in the Core Curriculum Content Areas, the program instructor will assist students in activities associated with office skills, cooking skills, creation of products, and will lead periodic community-based field trips to provide students with real-world application of their knowledge and skills.

SALARY:
Per diem rate based on Step 1 of the BA salary guide.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. New Jersey Standard Certification or Certificate of Eligibility as a Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities. The successful candidate must also possess middle school certification or be highly qualified in Language Arts, Math and Science.

TITLE OF OPEN POSITION: Theater Arts Construction/Scenery Advisor – Central Middle SchoolJob responsibilities include working with students during the construction of the set for the Central Middle School Play, coordinating the purchase of the necessary construction materials and working with students on preparation and painting of scenery. Work is to be completed during afterschool hours and must be finalized prior to the production in March, 2012.
