Language Arts:
We  continue to practice our 5 star writing (Capital letter to start my sentence, Punctuation to end my sentence, use finger spaces, Use neat handwriting, My sentence makes sense) Now that we are becoming expert writers, we are busy writing in our journals adding more details to our sentences!

We will be analyzing and comparing two and three dimensional shapes in different sizes and orientations, using formal language to describe their similarities, differences, parts and other attributes.

Social Sciences:
This month we will be learning about the life cycle of the butterfly as we welcome caterpillars into our classroom.  We will also be discussing Memorial Day and the many ways we can show respect for our country and community.
